"Tillions" was designed by Helen Baron, a potter and tile maker who, in May last year, was making a series of tessellating three-inch red clay tiles combining countless ways to make new patterns. It was while arranging these in endlessly varied patterns that she thought the idea might convert to an appealing new toy/game tailored at more specialist audiences. “Tillions Fridge Magnets” was born and as-well as the more targeted audiences which include Autism and Alzheimers sufferers, the general public have taken a liking to it.
Micro has worked with Helen to develop three iterations of Tillions. The first project delivered a large pack and Micro worked with Helen to develop some smaller packs targeted at retailers to open up the possibilities for distribution of the product. The magnets are printed on a flexible magnetic material and are manufactured in our magnet factory in the UK. The boxes and inserts are handmade in Bradford, UK.

The end product is a versatile “gift” suitable for children and adults of different dialects and abilities. The product has had great feedback from families with an Alzheimer's sufferer and is popular amongst children with autism and anyone looking for a creative outlet to distress and calm the mind. The ever-evolving patterns keep this compelling activity interesting and “alive”. Each piece can be swapped resulting in a drastic change to the design. The Tillions Magnet games are the perfect activity/game for patients, Alzheimer sufferers, those with Autism, children, and adults who enjoy relaxation games and tasks that encompass mindfulness....
